When the ghoul finished listening, they wandered off into her office. After a moment they reappear and motion Jake inside, opening the door for him.
Inside is Robin, sitting infront of the chess board many have come to associate her with, idly playing with the pieces. Her eyes turn on the neonate. "I assume you aren't here to waste my time, right?"
"I only wanted some clarification ma'am." Jake started. "I was under the impression we were on a mission directly from you to investigate the possibility of a werewolf around the town. I was however called to a meeting earlier tonight by... Anna, who told me to drop the investigation."

Robin listened to this, moving a pawn one step forward before getting up with a huff. "Anna?... right. Anna said to back off, so I assume she handled the situation. Why do you feel the need to tell me this?"
"I only wanted clarification as to which of you I should be taking orders from at present and which directions to disregard, ma'am" Jake hated this, having to show respect to someone who in his mind hadn't earned it was unacceptable but he'd been hoping to get out from under the sway of someone who was clearly just using him for their own ends.

"Did you talk to the Harpy? last I heard, it wasn't really my problem if neonates disagree and bare their fangs at each other?" She frowns, looking down at Jake. "Did you...really come into my office and disrupt me... because YOU can't tell Anna 'no' and talk to the one who sent you out, as in...Miss Hale?"

"Anna isn't of high rank, merely has helped this city get to this point. She's swept away countless messes that neonates have caused... Isabelle Hale gave you orders, if Isabelle Hale tells you to back off, then you listen. Otherwise, I really have more important problems to handle...you'll find out about that tomorrow." She actually snapped. For once, she didn't have her gentle expression, she was annoyed.
Jake had had enough. Assuming himself dismissed he saluted and turned to leave. From now on he would listen to no one and believe nothing. That suited him fine. No political mess, no socialising unless he really wanted to.
He decided not to go back to the station. In stead he went home. Upon arriving he removed his gun and undressed, taking nothing with him but his beeper. He went naked out into the yard to his wigwam and dressed in his wedding dress, putting on his wampum, sat down and started cleaning his weapons.
When he didn't have the chance to hunt himself, or to have a look at the results of someone else's 'fun', his weapons always calmed him down. Soon he was in a sort of trance, admiring his weapons and reliving every wonderful memory associated with them. For now, he wasn't Detective Jake Yuki, she was Jaci, daughter of Kemerum, wife of Ohanzee, mother of Ahiga.
