It had been but a night after Vincent's dealings with the witness that had been harrowing Vincent's mind that he had invited the local Harpy, Isabelle, or "Izzy", that he had begun to so affectionately refer to her as, for a nice little walk around. He had needed someone to show him around, and he had been rather caught off guard by Izzy's genuine compassion and trust in a complete stranger that he had called her up without really considering why. Fortunate that she was a harpy, he thinks. He couldn't really admit that she had gotten to him in some way. He had been expecting to be dancing around her and playing the game of politics that so many kindred do, but she seemed more interested in her hobbies and doing her job more so than anything else. It was... Refreshing, actually. She is clearly a master of the game kindred play, to make Vincent even consider such a notion. He'll have to be very careful with this one. A fine challenge indeed.
He waited around the some of popular tourist stops. Seemed a god a place as any, considering he was still a stranger to this town.

Isabelle had her way, to be sure. She was likely as young as Vincent was, but an admission of that never left her lips. She was certainly a different sort of vampire, one who had yet to really find her place...even with such a title as Harpy. She'd arrive to the local tourist traps, dressed in jeans and her grey tank top. The Texas weather allowed her arms to breath, and oddly...she still war a thick scarf around her neck.
There was humanity in her big blue eyes, and it seemed like she had a hard time figuring out if that was a good thing anymore. Weary from fighting a war this poor newbie had yet to even get a glimpse of.
"Vincent!" She'd call, waving to him as she approached the little shop. "Looking for something?" Her hand would glide over some rings in a small display before being put back in the pockets of her jeans.

Vincent perked up the moment he heard her. She had a distinctive voice, to be sure. He walked on up to her a she gleamed her eyes over those precious rings she so clearly desired. His smile seemed to brighten slightly, and he let out a small laugh.
"You, as it turns out. I guess I just wanted a bit of a chit-chat and perhaps get a better view of the lay of the land, per say. I don't exactly want to be walking into the wrong place at the wrong time. Would make my tenure here awfully short. That and I wanted to get to know you. After all, how could I ignore someone who made such a grand introduction. I'm literally talking to a TV celebrity after all."
He gives her a cheeky wink, but his smile flattens a little bit, and he leans into to talk more quietly to her.
"Sorry if I'm making you play tourist guide. To be honest I'm surprised you showed. Many other harpies would probably have blown me off and considered this a waste of their time."

If his perception was high, as she motioned him to step away from the stall, he'd notice one of the rings had gone missing, Had she just taken that? Maybe. She had the look of a cat as they left the area.
"I'm a different sort of harpy...then again, I think you'll find the kindred of the city aren't what you're used to." Her voice was low enough for him to hear her, but she made sure no one was listening to them. "This is ye old tourist trap... its not where I spend most of my time, but I know a good place or two to grab a bite if you get hungry."
Her eyes glanced upwards towards the moon as they walked, hand slipping back into her pocket. "Sorry if I came off like a bitch yesterday, I just got chewed out over that little disaster. The Prince yelled at Celio, who in turn unplugged my wifi until I got myself together to meet with you..." There was a smirk on her lips. "He still hasn't noticed his flask is missing..."

Vincent continued to smile as she continued.
"Sure thing, it's all good, to be honest you were quite sweet actually. As for getting a bite to eat, it depends on what you mean by hungry. I mean I can still eat and drink you know. That turn of phrase is something of a whoosh moment for me. Speaking of drinks..."
*He reaches for his flask, only to find it is missing.*
Vincent quickly checks his pockets before looking at Izzy with a raised eyebrow, and groans.
"You just had to, didn't you? *sigh*... Devious little thing you are, knew I was right to keep an eye on you... Heheheh... So is that a habit of yours, because I may need to dis-enchant my gear for your own safety if that's the case..."
Now it was his turn to smirk, he wonders if she bought his magical ruse.

She'd hand back his flask, snickering slightly at him, but would nod. "I'm not ashamed to admit I'm of clan Malkavian, and what landed me here...was actually a severe bout of Kleptomania." She'd shrug her shoulders, more dramatically than needed.
"Oh, I eat. Sometimes, but usually only at big fancy dinner parties... and even then only ones that Celio is watching over." She nodded. "My coterie is... quite well ranked in the city. Celio is the hand of the prince... Anna has almost complete control of the cops and hospitals... and I'm the harpy. I'm the nicest of the three...not that Celio's bad, heh, I...he just comes from Walstreet you know?"
She was rambling now, a bad habbit, but she hadn't had many to talk to. Anna had left to meet her long distance girlfriend, and Celio was more busy than ever being so important. At least Izzy could squeeze in meetings with Celio nightly.
"Dis-enchant? That destroys the object in question..." She'd spit back a gaming reference.

"You can eat too? That's interesting. I've never met anyone who could do that as well."
Vincent seemed rather happy at this coincidence. It was good to know that there were those who could share in the pleasures he was blessed with. Or perhaps more aptly, not cursed to lose.
"I like to eat a fair amount every now and then. Keeps me in touch, also a nice change from just drinking myself into a coma, gets a little monotonous after a while... So you're one of the hot shots then? Looks I have a lot of catching up to do if I wanna meet your standards then, hahaha. You'll have to introduce me to your coterie sometime, perhaps I'll be able to help in some way. I'm all about counter-intelligence."
"So, you a Hearthstone fan I take it?"

"I learned it over time, Celio being a CEO means a lot of dinner parties where I have to play human...but its fun to eat my favorite snacks when I dive into games."
She would grin at the next bit, "I think you'd like Celio, honestly... he's...fantastic. He's gotten me under control a few times, and was even better to me than my old primogen...not the one here, the one in this city is my sire." Again, the rambling.
"What? Nah, I only play Magic the Gathering as far as card games... my MMO of choice is World of Warcraft."

Damn. He hadn't played Warcraft in ages. At least he was close to the right answer though.
"Huh, he seems like a cool guy. I used to play video games a lot, but it's hard to keep up with it all what with work, research, and general kindred-y things, I can barely get to play releases I generally look forward to, but I always make time. But MtG huh? So you play the only good card game then..."
He smirked a bit at his completely unwarranted card game elitism.
"I'll be honest as much as I used to love the Pokemon TCG when I was little it was fairly broken in terms of it's design. I used to Play WoW until quite a few years back. Played Lich King then decided that was enough for me. I tried to get back into it, but it's been such a long time and I don't have the same amount of time anymore. Speaking of which, I've been playing Undertale recently. Jesus Christ, that game is SOOOOOO good~"
His smile turned from very upbeat to quite wry for his next comment almost too quickly
"So your sire is a Primogen? *sigh* It's strange, in places where I normally go city's are very cosmopolitan and everyone comes from everywhere, no-one was necessarily outcast... But here, this whole city feels like one giant family and I feel like a bit of a tag-a-along trying to stay alive. Never really had to deal with being an Outsider before. Not in this sense. My sire was always around or I had some special privileges backing me up because I was there on assignment. Now I guess I really am all alone."

Isabelle wandered beside him, hands stuffed in her jeans as they strolled along. She had more time now to game than in the past year, but only because things had somehow quieted down. The calm before another storm?
"Naturally, I only play good games. I only have time for a couple. Celio has me doing a lot these nights, not that I mind. He has a lot on his plate since...we lost Mitch." She sighed, and glanced off into the distance. "He was the harpy before me, a ventrue, idiot but... he was a part of Celio's clan."
She seemed at ease around the new Kindred, either she wasn't afraid of anyone, or she had given up trying to play the political game awhile ago.
"He is, though I ran away from him for ages...was up in new york for my first few months of unlife. I ran away." She laughed at herself. "Met Celio, and Jason. We had each other's backs... Came here after New York was attacked by the Sabbat. It wasn't much better, but the kindred here.. they're a big family. They've all been through Hell, most of them are tired...and young."
She looked over at him. "You'll get drawn into it all eventually."

"I'm sorry to hear you lost someone. It happens so much now that I'm not even surprised when they say know someone that died. I've lost so many people over the years that I can't even count any more. It's hard to remember all their names... I guess I'm trying to say I understand how that feels, in a roundabout way."
Vincent attempts to change the subject, the rather horrid subject matter is beginning to break his composure. So many people deserved life more than he, yet he was the one standing here talking to this... Genuinely lovely person. What if it was someone else standing here? What if he had fallen first?
"But the good games, huh? I mainly play strategy games. XCOM2, Age of Empires, that sort of thing. When I have time at leat. Heh, I have chess skills that would make a Ventrue jealous! I'd love to play Celio sometime.""
"Ran away? I wonder what it would be like to run away... Not that I'd even have had the chance, even if I had wanted too..."
Then a very, VEEERRRRY mischievous smile crosses his face.
"We all get drawn in huh? Does that mean... I'll get to MARRY my way in?"
He proceeds to pull Izzy in and hold one of her hands very softly with both of his holding it up to kiss it.

"Everyone in town's lost someone, there's been a lot that happened...its part of being a war coterie, you know? We're like...the Suicide Squad, and its the truth. Either our sires wanted us dead or some higher up thinks if we can survive here we can survive annywhere."
She allowed the change, and shrugged her shoulders again. "Well, you might soon, I'm leading you to Clear Profit now. Its where we get shit done, he's probably in..." Then she was confused, as the male took her hand and brought it to his face.
Isabelle was certainly not good with these sort of social interactions, not even with Celio. She flustered instantly and stuttered, drawing away quickly fro him and tilting her head like a confused cat. "I...What? Most Kindred don't...get married. I..." She had never seemed more like an awkward teenager than this moment.

Vincent could only chuckle at this. He lowered her hand and let it go.
"Hehehe... I'm only teasing you. But doesn't the Prince have a husband. Hell, I MIGHT. Gonna be a while before I pop that question though.""
"Anyway, I'm looking forward to meeting your friends."
He straightened up a little.
"So, he's in Clear Profit then. Should've guesses, considering the name."
"Yes, I'm putting us back on topic. Am I not a merciful soul?"
He smirked at her.
