Detective Yuki would recieve a notification to hold as the police operator contacted the department in question to begin processing his request. The hold music was cheery. Something by Vivaldi.
*****
Meanwhile, a minute or so later there was a knock upon the door, as well as a muffled voice that sounded like it was talking alone to someone. Probably a phone call.
After a brief pause to allow for someone to say 'come in', the door opened up. In stepped a rather short woman, with long, black hair that hung loosely about her shoulders. Her face was flushed, as though she'd just exerted herself climbing some stairs, her deep, brown eyes avoiding all those within the room as she continued to speak on the phone, her not-very-pale looking hand clasped around a rather large, modern looking smart phone. The type of phone that matched nicely with her designer jeans as well as the belted, fitted coat that she wore wrapped about herself.
"Yeah... I know... Just tell... look, I have to go, just tell him no, okay?" she said, hanging up with a press of the touchscreen.
She gave a soft smile, "hey Izzy, you said you uh... o-oh..." she seemed to shrink slightly in her stance, her hands sliding into her pockets as she looked like she'd begun to chew on her unner lip, "I... I uhm... d-didn't know you... you had company..." her voice had gotten very soft, almost timid.

Vincent shook his head and sighed, his smile unwavering in the face of unrelenting adversity! He runs his hand through his hair, almost as if to give literal meaning to the notion that a joke had just gone over everyone's heads. Maybe those outside the Tremere just had poor memory. "Fantastic! Well I suppose we can get moving then! I just need to-" *Vincent gets a text* "Oh, my apologies." The text msg alarm may have been notable to Miss Hale, as it was a portion of an opening to a very popular anime (ACTUAL LINK FOR FUNZIES: www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9D9aP7SEvs) around winter last year. Of course, the contents of the text was meaningless. It's purpose was only to gain the attention of the Harpy after all, and the timing mattered far more than what it said. Vincent merely replied the message with "Nice Timing. " "Sorry again. Finding someone, yes? I have another means of tracking this man down should the other methods fail, but he'll need to be on the move and I'll need to know a name or face. I can simply keep repeating the process however until we find our man. I'm sure your own methods will prove more than satisfactory however, Mr. Thorne." *He then turned towards the Harpy and smiled, and glanced at Jake and his peculiar friend*

Isabelle would open her mouth to speak when Eric...well, pulled an Eric. "I never tol..." She simply let it trail off, knowing full well that sneaky son of a bitch was more than a creeper. She'd shake her head, "We'll talk later about certain things, Eric..." "Such a nerdy ring..." She was about to tease Vincent, when she received a text from the scenashal, and a rather weaboo sounding alert played. ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cs5iYa0gM78 ) Her eyes shot to the door as soon as Anna entered though, dropping the mask of being professional and instantly embracing the shorter girl. "ANNA!" She scouped the small girl up, ushering her behind her large desk to safety from the others. "Er...hey, what was the name of that witness you uh, needed taken care of?"

Being scooted away from the others, she found herself swiftly behind Izzy's desk, smiling slightly, on the very edges of her lips, "h-hey... uhm... I... I uhm... witness? n-no... uhm... I uhm... th-there's no uhm... no need to worry about... about that, I uhm... I mean it's... it's all in hand... that's... that's what your... your squad does... r-right?" she asked, glancing up at Izzy with her big, brown eyes.

Isabelle smiled down at her, ruffling her dark hair. "Don't worry about it, these are the new guys in town...well, save for Eric...but you know, even experienced vampires make mistakes." Her eyes shot to him for a moment, frowning. Him seeming to know too much about her made her VERY uncomfortable.
"Either way, tell these three who to go fetch...it may help!"

Jake waited patiently for dispatch to put him through. Seemingly unfazed by the new arrival and the hubbub about him, yet for those close enough to hear, he was muttering under his breath. "Kii Kah, yingwese moosh koosh." Other than that, he simply waited.

"Sorry about the wait, detective," came the operator's voice once more, "we've been told by the precinct that the case has already been taken up by a detective Perolta?" she said.
*****
"O-oh... y-you think they... they can help?" she asked, glancing up at Izzy, then over at the others. She knew Eric could and would help, given enough interest. She'd seen him work before - but the other two? She didn't know them.
"B-but... it... I mean, he uhm... he's already been picked up... by the police?" she said softly, "he's... he's sitting in an interview room with one of the duty officers uhm... waiting for... for the duty Captain to go see him..."

"Operator, could you put me through to Detective Perolta please? The reason I asked for the case is I have some information that might be of use to the investigation." Jake was getting anxious, it was time to pick up an old case.

"One moment please..." the operator said. The line went quiet. Then a few moments later, "putting you through now, detective."
"Yyyyeeees?" came the long greeting from the male voice on the other end, "you're through to Texas' best detective."

"This is Detective Yuki, what used to be New York's brightest detective before transferring down here and getting some real competition. I only called to alert you, I requested a case only to be told you'd been assigned to it already but I believe it may coincide with an old case of mine from the city that never sleeps."
Jake remembered that case and how it had frustrated him at the time, this new one didn't really seem connected but there was no harm in saying it was.

"Ah right... uh cool, well send over your old precinct's details and I'll get that old case off em - don't worry, now it's with a real detective it'll totally get super solved... anything else I can help you with, yukes?" he replied in a rather carefree tone, you could almost hear him putting his feet up on his desk as he reclined in a chair.

"Just that you might want to look into narco. There was a suspicious death in New York a couple of years back and a couple of 'friends of Tina' who disappeared during the investigation, never did track them down, but I had a look at your crime scene and that trailer is too familiar..." Jake paused, letting the new information sink in. Most small-town cops weren't happy with a narco case and Tina was big....

Most smalltown cops were not... Detective Perolta, detective extraordinaire! Or so he thought, at least, "yeah sure, that all sounds fine - I'll get right on it or send one of my guys down to check it out while we wait for your old precinct to catch up... aren't you a little far from home, though?" He asked rather obstinately, though didn't wait for an answer as he leant back from the phone and shouted, "hey Boyle! Get your shoes on, you got work to do!" Then he leant back in, lowering his voice, "was there anything else, Yukes?"

Jake sighed. "Good luck." He said as he hung up the phone, moosh koosh detective. Oh well. As he put the phone into his pocket he looked up at the harpy. "The detective assigned to the case has at least been mislead. I do apologize but it was the best I could do at the moment." He only hoped it was enough.

Vincent looked fairly satisfied with the smoothness of the operation so far as he spoke up.
"Sooo... We just need to pick this guy up, bring him to you, erase his memories, and we're all set? Seems a little too simple for such a large group of us. Are we expecting complications other than this one? Oh, and speaking of which, where's the media's stance on this story? If they have their claws dug in, I can 'Unclaw' them if needed."
"And if I may say, Izzy, you're ringtone is absolutely fabulous."
Ah, there we go, that classic shit-eating grin.
"Ok, we're even."
